Panimation: Instagram Takeover
The week after Thanksgiving, I will be doing an Instagram takeover of Panimation! This is an amazing organization of women, trans and non-binary people in the animation/motion design industry who are trying to bring some diversity to our industry. Every week a new animator is invited to take over the account and show their work. Look out for my posts everyday the week of November 28th for 7 days. Would love to see some comments from familiar faces on there! And if you're ever looking to hire an animator or motion designer, and want to find a woman, trans or non-binary person locally, check out their directory. You can filter by location, by skill and by software. It's run entirely by a group of volunteers who believe in diversity. I hope you can join me on 11/28 as I share my journey, process and work in the motion design industry, with this amazing community.
Boston sees "Cool For You"
This weekend is the Boston International Kids Film Festival. It's a great event that's for kids, by kids and about kids. They have movies that are for littles ones to enjoy (like my film "Cool For You" educating toddlers about global warming), but also films made by middle and high school kids, plus some workshops as well! My screening will be at 10am on Saturday, November 19th and I'll be there in person!
But, if you can't make it and still want to see the film, you can also watch it online through the Chicago International Children's Film Festival which is virtual through November 20th. Please cast your vote in the Audience Choice Awards. And more festivals coming in December and already a few more in 2023...info coming soon when I can announce our next round of festival selections!
